I spoilt myself yesterday. I purchased some fancy French tea.

Well, to be honest, it is actually Russian tea originally, but moved its headquarters to France after the Russian revolution at the start of the 20th century. I was poking around the mindblowing (and incredibly chic) Galerie Lafayette on a wet winter’s afternoon and found myself on the petits cadeaux (little gifts) floor where there was a wall of gorgeous Baroque style silver tins with gorgeous colorful prints on them. I decided to approach… It smelled delightful! A whole wall full of tins of every kind of tea imaginable, and even though you couldn’t ever imagine like rose green tea or spicy chocolate.
I bought a packet of five little tins including, my personal favourite, a special Christmas tea, that does, strangely, smell like Christmas in a tin! It has a spicy yet citrus-y aroma and instantly evokes the image of snuggling up in front of the fireplace with the piney smell of the Christmas tree wafting through the air as you sit full of pudding…
Perfect for a chilly northern hemisphere White Christmas.
